Welcome to Unity Aids, where our core principle is to empower individuals with disabilities to lead
enriching lives on their own terms. As a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Provider, we transcend the traditional role of a support organization to become facilitators of
lifestyle choices for people with disabilities.
Founded in 2024 by two dedicated owners with over a decade of collective experience in caregiving
across all age groups and levels of care, Unity Aids was born from a fundamental belief: that every
person, regardless of their abilities, deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest. Our
journey began by providing essential day-to-day supports and has since evolved into offering a
comprehensive array of personalized services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

As animal lovers ourselves, we understand the importance of pets in our clients' lives. In addition to offering pet caring services for our clients' furry companions, we also provide a range of services to ensure the well-being of their pets. From feeding and walking to grooming and veterinary appointments, we go the extra mile to ensure that both our clients and their beloved pets receive the care and attention they deserve. Our two adorable fur babies are always ready to welcome visitors, providing companionship, affection, and endless smiles to anyone who interacts with them. Whether it's spending time with our furry friends or providing essential pet care services, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for all.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a comprehensive system in Australia that offers
individualized support to individuals with a permanent and significant disability, along with their
families and carers. Managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the NDIS is a
crucial component of the National Disability Strategy, which collaborates with community,
government, and industry to address the challenges faced by people with disabilities.
The primary goal of the NDIS is straightforward: to provide Australians who have a permanent and
significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports required to live fulfilling lives.
Its vision is to foster independence, increase opportunities, and promote social participation for
people living with disabilities across Australia.
The NDIS comprises two key parts: NDIS-funded supports for eligible participants and Information,
Linkages, and Capacity Building (ILC), which focuses on connecting individuals with their
communities. Eligible participants of the NDIS receive funded support tailored to their needs, with
each participant having a personalized plan aimed at enhancing their independence and expanding
their opportunities. This may involve participating in community activities, securing employment, or
acquiring new skills, all while ensuring that participants have autonomy and control over the
supports they receive.
By 2024, it is estimated that over 630,000 Australians living with disabilities will have a funded
plan under the NDIS. Additionally, the ILC aspect of the NDIS is dedicated to connecting individuals
with disabilities with their communities, fostering inclusion, and providing necessary resources and
support for full participation in society.
